The report is dedicated to the implementation of the quest for first-year students at the Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University. The possibilities of such an event in the field of collecting and processing data about students are investigated. A long-term strategy for the formation and development of an individual educational trajectory in order to increase the effectiveness of the university is considered.
